Battersea Pumpkin Festival

Since we are now so close to Battersea we decided to go and check out the pumpkin festival this year. It is all about kids. It is great! $5 entry {$20 max family entry and kids 2 and under were free}. You could pay $1.50 extra if you wanted to carve a pumpkin and take it home but we had so many pumpkins at home to carve we didn't need any more. Once you were in the only thing that cost anything was food.

The girls decorated cookies and got their faces painted {yes, for free! and it washed right off with water!}

We had some lunch! Beef on a bun -- the firefighters were putting this on! Yum! And ran into some old friends and met new ones like baby Georgia!

And enjoyed the decor, scenery and different local booths set up like the one with the honey bees. It was neat to see them in action.

And we have no photographic proof what-so-ever that Liam and I even accompanied the kiddos while they were there
We will definitely head back there next year and check it out. We may even try the corn maze next year if we are feeling lucky!
After the pumpkin festival we headed to Westport for Jocelyn's 5th birthday party. The girls had a blast. By the time we got home it was after our regular supper time so we had a late dinner and tucked the girls and ourselves soundly into bed. A very busy, but fun day! Hope everyone else is enjoying the weekend so far!
