Is It Possible We are STILL recovering?

Wowsers! It feels like we are all still recovering from our little vacation. Getting back into life is not that easy after ten days! The kids are beyond exhausted, grumpy and did I say grumpy? I am also so tired and fighting massive headaches - Which may or may not have to do with tired children partly, one who are a little grumpy and lack of sleep. We are all going to have a quiet weekend. Well, here is hoping anyways. Hope everyone enjoys the long one!

Nothin’ But Sunny Days at Busch Gardens

 

We headed to Busch Gardens today! It was awesome there! So much for the little kids and many places for cool down water fun. But the best part of course was meeting all the Sesame Street Characters. Lilly was the only one brave enough to go up and hug them and say hello. We did pull Nella out to meet Elmo which I do have a picture of (that I had to buy) but will have to post later when I can scan it. She is so funny with them and was yesterday morning with Pooh and friends too. She is mesmerized by them and just smiles hugely.

I am a tiny bit disappointed I didn’t get my picture taken with these guys too. They were great and it was so not crowed like at Disney so we never had to wait more than a few minutes to get on a ride or meet the characters!

More From Disney!

Wow! Jam packed FULL day today! AND we are going back for more. It just seems like there is not enough time in a day to do what we wanna do and keep the kids cool and happy at the same time.

This morning we were in a group with other privileged guests, who got to enter the park before opening to dine with Winnie the Pooh and the Gang. It was really nice to be there before the park opened and to be able to take some pictures without all those people around. Plus it was so much cooler in the morning than it is in the afternoon.

After having breakfast with Pooh and Friends (which was awesome BTW), we headed to some rides and then went to see Mickey and Minnie before heading back to our digs. This was truly my highlight of the day. I am a BIG fan of Winnie and especially Eeyore but The Mickey and Minnie meeting was much more personal. Loved that they both doted on my girls giving them extra hugs and kisses!t

When You Wish Upon a Star…

A day starting out pretty miserable with very tired and cranky girls, can turn into a perfect day!

We hit up the Magical Kingdom today and it was just that. Pure Magic!

We first got the girls’ hair done in the barber shop where we got to see the first parade take off and return… and later we met the Princess’! Perfect way to end our first day at the park!

We had a few melt downs (beginning of the day) and two little girls throw up from the heat. But after getting sick they perked right up!

I really find no better way to share our day then by sharing pictures. Enjoy! We sure did!!

We are looking forward to our morning breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and the Gang. Gonna go relax while the littles sleep off pure exhaustion. See you all tomorrow… In the form of a blog post of course!

It was a LONG day today but we are here!

I found a new treat which Liam thinks is utterly disgusting but I adore. A Southern treat… boiled peanuts!

 

We saw many more palm trees! Got our tickets for Disney!

   

And went swimming here to cool off before bed.

Again… it was a LONG day. See you all tomorrow!

Day 2

 

And we still have great travelers!

Mind you, after a long time in the car and one total melt down, this little girl needed to stop and have a little break! A driving break…

… to drive! She has really been a total angel. She is riding with Mom and Dad and Nella while her big sisters drive with Gramma and Grampa.

  

Also I found a new fav. drink! AND we are seeing palm trees now! HOT weather has hit. Let the excitement begin!

Some random thoughts from today:

1) I have seen a million (well almost) cracker barrel stores along the way and I am thinking we must stop at one. Anyone been?

2) Target is also a must for me as well as Chick-fil-A. Any other suggestions?

3) One of the highlights from our day would have to be a van that passed with paint on the back window saying “Honk if you Love your Momma!”. We honked! We honked!

4) Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day!

5) Didn’t think it was proper to end my random thoughts at #4.

6) Night all! We have another long day ahead of us tomorrow…

We have pretty great travelers!

  

With such beautiful scenery how couldn’t they be great travelers?

And Gramma came by to say Hi in a cloud too!

Although when I look closely it seems as if there are two hands holding that heart. I guess Pop is there too!

So far so good. Day one = success! Our travels are going great so far. Keep you all updated… Yes, I promise!
