I’m Pretty Certain I Forget How to Blog!

Since we have moved, the only internet access I have had out here in the country is on my cell phone. I have also had some access occasionally on Mom’s computer, but taking the time to blog there is hard to do. I have been trying to update everyone via FB with the occasional mobile upload (which is so not my style - but could be, if I could find a rad photo application… something retro maybe? Hmmmm). My camera (the second love of my life) has also been in for repair. I am really hoping for her to return to me soon so I can regularly start taking pictures again. I LOVE taking pictures and even more than that, I LOVE sharing them. I have been a bit down lately I admit. Perhaps these 2 simple things have been missing in my life lately. Time to step it up? I think so. So… here’s to a new years resolution that I am almost certain I can maintain -- and that is… I take more pictures (not too hard to accomplish I think) AND I  will share more (which should also be an easy feat, since I haven’t blogged at all in the last couple months!). Hope you all had a VERY Merry Christmas! I wish you all much love and happiness in the New Year and I promise to share some photos of the past few months (even if only in collage form) in the very near future!

BUSY

Wow! Busy is almost an understatement of how we have been lately. So much is going on with the Porter family…

Lilly started grade 1 at a new school half an hour from home so we have all been commuting back and forth two times daily and will continue to do so for a couple of more weeks!

AND Abigail started Kindergarten at her new school last Thursday! So very excited for her. She seemed to love her first day!

So all of this going on while packing our home to move! We are home owners again and so thrilled about it! So so much going on with us as you can see. The busy will not end for a long time I’m afraid and I am uncertain when I will be able to update you all again!

Fall is here though and we all know how I feel about fall! Pictures I will be taking and hopefully be posting for you to see. SOON! Bare with us! Here’s a sneak peek at where we will be.

   

In the mean time (between packing and school), you can bet your booty we are enjoying this beautiful fall weather. Eating corn, apple picking, celebrating birthdays, having sleepovers with friends and just hanging out.

Fun at The Lake

 

Wow! It has been forever since I have blogged or even considered doing a blog post. My new full time job has been keeping me busy and making me exhausted! A full time job at home on top of my “job” job is really taking a toll on my energy and enthusiasm about taking pictures or even getting off the couch for that matter.

Mom and Myles were out at their yearly rented cottage this week and the girls (the oldest three littles) went out to spend the night with them last night. Liam and I found ourselves in a quiet home last night with Nella in bed and Liam packing for his getaway this weekend, I didn't know what to do with myself. So I snuggled into my bed and went to sleep at 9pm, suddenly awaking from a goodnight call from my girls at twenty minutes to ten! I guess they slept very well and had a blast today playing in the lake water in their little blow up pool.

After work Nella and I headed out to join in the fun and we immediately went for a boat ride (Myles, Lilly, Abby and Myself). They had been waiting for me to get there all day so I could accompany them on the lake! LOL

When we got back Lilly showed me her new exciting swimming techniques… IN THE LAKE! SO proud of her for that. It took her a lot of warming up to get there (she was nervous about sharing the water with all those little fishies)! Honestly I cannot blame her. Never been one to enjoy a swim in the lake… EVER! Well I think she might have been turned into a little fishy if we had let her stay in the water any longer so she emerged finally and we enjoyed a nice BBQ with Uncle Jeremy and cousin Kiley too! Soon after supper (about 15 minutes tops) we were ready to head home (four tired littles) and two Grandparents who were tired and ready to say goodbye also!

Thanks again Mom and Myles for having the girls out. LOVE making memories that will last forever! XO

Someone is Keeping Momma Up!

This little girl is teething. She cried and cried until Mommy removed her from her crib for some cuddles. Even after snuggling out on the couch she still cried and whined until the Tylenol kicked in. Then, here is what transpired... also note that after making this little home video, Nella was determined to watch herself in playback mode on my phone for another half hour before going to bed. Then... she had me up just after 7 this morning!

Staying inside and away from the disgusting heat! Laying on the living room floor, in our air conditioned house, watching movies. That’s the life!

And their Momma’s had no arguments about that! Stay cool if you can folks!

Camping!

This past weekend we did some camping at Rideau Acres. It was a beautiful spot there with lots of shade and the campground beach was awesome for the kids. Unfortunately we only got one swim in the pool since it was closed for “maintenance” or perhaps a wedding going on.

The girls had a fantastic time visiting with their Aunties, Uncle, Gramma and Grampa and their little cousin Emerson. We all had a fantastic time visiting with you all and hope we can do it again soon!

The big girls stayed in the camper all weekend but Momma and the littlest littles went home to sleep in our own beds. Our camper is still not quite equipped for all six of us, but we are working on it.

Celebrating Canada Day and Liam’s Birthday

We had a wonderful day out in Glenburnie. The girls got to swing and play in the new sandbox at Gramma and Grampa’s and they had a total blast! Liam got his new lawn mower and his special camo cake I worked so hard on for him! Thanks to all who spent the day with us and thanks for hosting the celebration Mom and Myles. Love you guys!
