Abby's Doctors Appointment

Abigail went to see the ears, nose and throat Doctor this morning. He decided along with Mommy and Daddy that Abigail should get tubes put in her ears. They with make a small incission in each of Abigail's ears and insert tubes into them. The tubes will allow for any fluid to exit her ear and stop any pressure and pain from building up - hopefully making her a much happier little girl. The tubes will fall out on their own after surgery 6 months to a year later. We are all hoping this is something she will grow out of before she starts school at least! She was so great at her appontment. Abigail is a very patient little girl when it comes to doctors checking her out. She also holds very still on her own and cooperates with whatever the doctors ask of her. They will contact me by telephone and let me know when she will be set up for surgery. The sooner the better I think as she has fluid in her ears at present.

Previously (Friday morning) she had her sweat test done which we will later get the results of. She had to be hooked up to this machine which stimulated her sweat glands and then they attached a sweat collector and kept it on her arm for half an hour. After they were done the sweat test they took Abby's blood. My little girl was such a big girl and she didn't even cry at all. The nurses were asking me ahead of time if I wanted them to numb her arm and I told them no. I knew she would be brave!

Only one more test to go... the upper GI which I am waiting for an appontment for still. I am so looking forward to all these appointments ending and for my little girl to be happy and healthy!

Play Structure Disaster!

Notice the chairs untouched under the branches?

Remember that crazy rain storm we had Saturday afternoon? Rain, crazy wind, thunder and sleet?!? Well I sure do... it hit our backyard -knocking our play structure right over! We lost some branches from our tree also but nothing else in the backyard was touched. Even Lilly and Abigail's little table and chairs set was left untouched even with the branches falling on it... CRAZY! Liam needs to fix the poor structure now but cannot even lift it!

We like Pink... Just Not This Kind

We have all been sick with something around here this week. Abigail with some bug that made her vommit and have runny poops, me catching it also and now Lilly has pink eye! I was in bed all day yesterday and all night trying to recover from this rotten bug plus having this nagging cough that I have had for 5 days now that I am unable to get rid of. Abigail apears well now but Lilly has had a runny eye which was identified at the clinic as pink eye! This is a first for any of us! Boo to pink eye!! She says it hurts and she hates the eye drops... fortunately after 48hrs with treatment she should be uncontagious (if there is such a word) but will have to continue the drops for 7 days. We really want to get out and socialize. Soon enough... lets make sure everyone is well so that we donnot spread or germs to everyone else!

I Love to Be With My Dad

When ever Daddy is home Lilly has to be where Daddy is. On this particular day... yesterday... Daddy was cutting the lawn. Lilly had to run outside and join him. Liam had her going around on her jeep while he rode the tractor. Lilly wanted to ride with him so badly tho that she would get off her jeep and go running for him. Liam was SO very freaked out by this that he would stop and yell "NO!" to her. She really had no idea that it wasn't safe for her to run at the tractor and she would run away sobbing her eyes out. Finally he felt so badly that he got off and told her why he was telling her no. She was much happier then and started to mow the lawn herself again! As long as she is with Daddy she is a happy girl!!

Liam's New Toy!

Liam got a new toy and is happier than anything! Lilly and Abigail both got to go for ride. Lilly loves it and wants Liam to go even faster and faster! Abigail not so much. She hated the loud noise and didn't even want to sit on it to get her picture taken. Now Liam has something to pull the moose out of the woods when he goes hunting! How exciting!! LOL

Another Visit with Hilary

I took the girls to Hilary's yesterday. Abigail slept most of the time sleeping inside with Charlie and Hilary, Lilly and I spent some time with Rusty. Rusty is Hilary's pony. He is 20 years old and still kicking! Lilly took a peaceful stroll with Rusty around the pasture while he ate grass and flowers. She loved being on his back and he didn't seem to even notice that she was there. We wanted to head on a hunt for some raspberries but the grass was so long and the misquitos were wild and there were a ton of them. After a little stroll and after stepping on many prickle bushes we sat on the porch for a popcycle. Lilly needs some lessons in eating tho... she had it dripping all over herself! What a mess! After Abby woke up we spent some quiet time inside reading with Hilary and catching up. We hadn't seen her in awhile and had a very nice visit.

Kingston Family Fun World

She did like this... although she had to wear a life jacket in less then 1 foot of water and it was a tiny bit big! LOL
Sliding with Daddy on the giant slides!
Brave girl riding it alone... looking VERY impressed! LOL
Weeeeeeee! Someone is having too much fun!
All aboard the Choo Choo Train!
Gramma and Abigail

I think I like this... everyone else seems to be having fun!
I love it, I love it!
Yummy!
Too funny!
This was the greatest time of my life!

On Sunday June 6th the whole family packed in our van and headed for Kingston Family Fun World. We had promised Lilly some rides she would enjoy. She drove the water bumpers, jumped in the jumping castle, went on the roller coaster with Daddy (It was a little scary for her... even Liam thought it was scary), She slide on the huge slides, rode the choo choo and the carosel and of course a trip would not be complete without a ride on the ferris wheel! She had SO much fun there. A whole park packed full of rides just her style (even tho she doesn't ever looked amused while riding them she truely is)! The splash pad was her favorite part tho. The perfect cool down on a VERY HOT summer day! Both girls loved to drink the water... not too sure where they get this from but we captured it on camera. Abigail took some warming up to get playing but had a ball! Gramma came to enjoy some fun by all!

Everyone Loves Marine Land

Meet the Baluga whale. We got an awesome view of them... everyone must have been at the Killer Whale tank. These whales swam and played with eachother and sang many a tune. There is something about these sea creatures that totally amazes me!
Well hello there!

Here is our friend the killer whale. I love these animals and wanted to get really close for some fantastic photos. There were SO many people crowded around we had to ask someone nicely if Lilly could squeeze in in front of him. I got the camera ready and got this shot... then "Willy" got so close we couldn't see him anymore.... then.... SPLASH! We got soaked LOL All of us including the camera. It was I admit an amzing cool down from that hot sun! Liam and Abby were watching from afar and still got wet! Needless to say that was the first and last photo I got of my favourite friend!
I'm a little wet Mom!
Yes... SOAKED! LOL
Daddy and Lilly went on this ride and Lilly loved it so much. She was pretty upset when there weren't anymore rides that she was big enough for. We promised her that on Sunday we would take her to Kingston Family Fun World for some fun!

A stop at the deer park. It was pretty calm in there when we got there. The deer hadn't had too many visitors yet and they were relaxing in the shade. We were able to walk right up to them and pet them and didn't even have to get any food! We did clean our hands the second we left tho.... man it smells in there!
Bears, bears and more bears... This bear was scratching an itch. I think we all enjoyed the bears a lot. We could have stayed there all day! They are amazing creatures I tell you! They would actually mimmic Liam just to get some cereal!
This bear just wanted the goods... wasn't too compliant, just VERY cute!
Standing tall Liam... just liked you asked... do I get cerral now??
This was the best bear ever. As you can see even after getting the whole cone for waving to Liam He just stared at me in thanks making it for a picture perfect moment! I told Lilly He looked just like Little Bear and she said "Yeah... except big!"

The dolphins were in the show and did a fabulous job! There were also sea lions who were totally cute but if I kept adding photos I would have been here all night!
The big jump and splash together!
I loved this! Dolphin and trainer floating on their backs together. The trainer is just so happy to be in there with them and how amazing it must be. These creatures are just so willing to please people just like our labrador retreivers. Maybe, just maybe we could get one of these as a pet?
Dance dance dance dance dance the night away!

What a way to end the day... a ride from Daddy. A few hours of much fun and a whole lot of adventure. Marine Land will NEVER get old. We will likely go back again when Abby is a few years older. I am sure that she enjoyed it but will probably forget all about it. Lilly had the time of her life as well as Mommy and Daddy and we are looking forward to our next family trip together! Hope everyone else had an amazing weekend!

The Falls

Bumper to bumper
Daddy's checking in so lets play here a bit Pretty Rainbow

The crazy squriel
Duh.... I think I'm full!

After Bass Pro Shop we headed for Niagra Falls in Friday rush hour trafic! It was a good think the girls slept most of the way beacuse the ride seemed like forever. When we arrived and finally checked into the hotel we left almost right away to head for Clifton Hill. We had some hot dogs and icecream totaling $40 and saw a beautful rainbow as we walked a long while enjoying the falls. We saw a crazy squriel who was eating out of some little boys hands! Lilly wanted to pet it SO badly much to Mommy and Daddy's disapproval. Sorry Lilly........ Maybe you can touch it.... NEVER! Abigail ate a whole tub of dibs (hence the photo... duh, I ate them all mom LOL)!! We headed back to the hotel for a terrible nights sleep. We didn't get a good nights sleep the whole weekend. It was a good thing the weekend was packed full of fun! Next blog to follow.... Marine Land!
