Lilly's First Skate

So I just got off the phone with my little munchkin and she really had no desire to talk to us at all! She said she had a fun day and was excited because Gramma put braids in her hair after her bath. She was tired and ready for bed though. She said she was going to try some hockey tomorrow. Can't wait to hear all about it. Love you baby girl! Night night! XO

Boxing Day Feast

We had a Boxing Day feast {except it wasn't Boxing Day - it was the day after} with the Porter - Fleury clan and my Daddy-o. It is the first time we have had a sit down meal for so many in our home {any home of ours for that matter}. It turned out beautifully and everything was so tasty. We had deep fried turkey {look at that baby}. By the way, how many men does it take to carve a 15 pound bird? Can you tell? LOL We had a roast of pork, sweet potatoes, stuffing and maple glazed vegetable medley {turnip, parsnips, potatoes, carrots and onion}. Delish I tell you. My mother in-law told me it was the best Christmas dinner she has ever had! Now that must be good!!

The girls got some more presents and Liam and I did too. Thanks so much guys! Then we bid goodbye to our first born for a long stay away {her first LONG stay} from home in Ottawa. I miss her already but was so thankful when I woke from my sleep this afternoon to have an e-mail with some pictures of Lilly's day today. I will share them with you later on tonight! There is one where she is standing on her skates alone on the ice! I am so proud of her! Yay Lilly! Mommy, Daddy, Abby and Tessa cannot wait to see you on Thursday! Love you baby girl! XO

Christmas Crafts...

... to keep forever!

I LOVE this garland! And am so proud of these two little girls for making it. I think they are proud of themselves!

I KNOW it will be in our decorations for FOREVER {or at least until it falls apart}!

We had the Ramos family Christmas tonight at our place and it was a hit. Pictures to come tomorrow perhaps. If I get enough sleep.

A Visit With The Mackey Boys

Carla, Declan and Landon came over for a visit today so the kids could exchange gifts and so the big kids could have a play. Thanks so much for coming over and for the gifts for the girls. They haven't stopped playing with them yet!

The girls love playing with Declan and they had a blast! Here are a few pictures from our afternoon. Surprisingly I did not go picture crazy! And, the big kids were so wild I couldn't have caught a picture of them even if I had wanted!

Christmas at the McLean's

So, I may have explained that things are going to be a little different around here at Christmas time this year. It will be the first time in my 29 years that we will not be having the big Christmas dinner we always do with my Mom's side of the family. This year, I am also going to be working midnights. So, when I get off work at 7am I will be coming right home to open gifts with the girls and see what Santa has brought and then curl up snug in my bed for a long winters nap {or just until late afternoon} when we will all get ready for a small Christmas dinner at Mom's house. And, since we will be missing out on the festivities {morning brunch at the Deslauriers - aka. Wendy's house} we had a Christmas at the McLean's this year. Wendy, Yves, Gramma, Don and Anna {the hosts - of course} and the Porter family. It was a wonderful dinner! Simply tasty! And the girls had fun as usual. They were all so tired after a fun visit that they conked out in the truck almost immediately! YES ALL OF THEM! Even Tessa! Liam and I were beyond thrilled and enjoyed a quiet ride home together talking about how much we enjoyed our evening. Thanks Anna and Don so much for having us over. It really was a great time! XO

Oh, and I almost forgot to point out that the high chair that Tessa is sitting in has been in the McClean family for many, many years {so many I couldn't tell you exactly}. Don sat in that very high chair when he was a little boy {so it must be really old}!

Waiting for Santa

I took the girls tonight to have a visit with Santa. Surprisingly it was not crazy busy and we only waited in line about 20 mins {15 of which Santa was having supper}. The girls were very patient and well behaved. Actually when we walked though the mall everyone was looking and smiling at us. Of course the girls were cute all dressed up but they were walking so obediently one on each side of the stroller hanging on. It was a proud Momma moment for sure.

Lilly was the first to approach Santa and I was unable to get a picture because Abigail was standing her distance and I needed to coax her a little closer. She decided Santa was a nice man who was okay to talk to but there was no way on earth she was going to let him touch her. No way! LOL Tessa also was not having it, so Santa gave up his chair so the girls could have a seat and he stretched his legs for a little bit. My picture is kind of rushed and not planned out at all. I didn't have much time to snap it. I am much happier with the one we bought which is more centered and Abigail has a huge smile on her face. So after the picture Santa came back and Lilly climbed back into his lap for a chat. Abigail wouldn't even let Santa help her out of the chair. There is something about a man in a red suit that she is weary about {or maybe it's the beard or the fact that he is Santa -- who knows?}. It was super cute though. Maybe next year she will sit on his knee. Before we left the house she had it in her head she was gonna give him a big kiss. Guess time changes things :)

Christmas Count Down

Christmas Countdown begins. We have a very busy holiday ahead, filled with many friends, family and a whole lot of night shifts {at least for me}. We are looking forward to it, although I am positive we will all be beat before it is finished. Maybe we can look forward to some extra sleep too. Wouldn't that be nice?

The big girls and I finnished our wrapping tonight and I placed almost all of the presents under the tree {much to Liam's disapproval}. He kept telling me the girls will get into them and Christmas will be ruined. LOL Well as soon as Tessa got sight of the gifts she started ripping tags off {disaster in the making}. Liam is going to have a fun day with her tomorrow trying to keep her away from them. Sorry Hon, I should have listened! Oops!

This first picture of Abigail and Tessa cracks me up! I cannot stop laughing when I see it. Tessa was dancing along to Imagination Movers on t.v. and by the looks of it Abigail was not impressed!

So, you can expect many a post from me in the near future and a ton of photos. I hope everywhere we go has good light! Goodnight everyone and Happy Holidays!

This Litttle Girl...

Makes my heart melt.

It's mush I tell ya!

Yes, even when she cries like that! It doesn't happen often I tell ya. That darn sippy cup. It hurts the teeth!
