I will have to point out though that this week seemed more like a social gathering than a skating lesson. Which is totally understandable with all the bonding relationships that could have occurred in the past four weeks for a one time a week 20minute skate lesson. Huge bonding friendships are made in that kind of time. Uh huh. Lilly {our social butterfly} is even making friends at skating lessons and thinks it might be a little more fun to chit chat it up with all the other little girls than skate around and pick up stuffed animals now. So much for head of the class. There were two little boys this week who flew past her in a serious way.
We had a little chit chat with Lilly after the class explaining that if she really wanted to learn how to skate that she needed to pay a little closer attention to the instructor. Here is hoping those words sunk in. I also think Daddy was a little bit of a distraction this week too. It was his first time at one of the lessons and she kept looking for him, smiling and totally wiping out every time!
So lets also hope that the after skate lesson was a lesson to carry on for next week skate lesson! Silly girls!
